The Easter Dress

The Easter Dress

“Oh, no!” Jill exclaimed. “I’m so sorry! Here, let me get you some napkins!”

Elyse blushed, feeling a flash of anger, though it was more at herself than her friend. “No, there’s nothing to apologize for,” she sighed, staring down at her brand new dress, the one she’d spent so much money on, now covered in coffee. “I’m the one who can’t drink, apparently…”

She gladly took the napkins, but they did very little good, just as she’d feared. It was a gorgeous dress, so mature, so delicate… She should have known better than to wear it here anyway. They were going to be outside for most of the day, and she was sure she wouldn’t have been able to get any grass or dirt stains off of it, either, if she happened to fall or sit down for any reason. Still… It was Easter, and this was the dress she’d bought for that occasion, so she hadn’t been able to resist.

After a minute or two of useless dabbing at the stain, which, if anything, seemed to be soaking deeper, she gave in with a groan. “Ugh… This sucks. Easter was so much better when we were kids. We didn’t have to think about how much our dresses cost, so we could just run around and do whatever we wanted in them and not think any better of it…”

Jill chuckled at that. “Maybe you did… My mom was always reminding me how expensive my dress was and making me come stand by her if I got too rowdy.”

Elyse always forgot about how different their upbringings were… Her mother probably would have done the same, except that Easter was one of the few days the nanny had off, so either she didn’t want to be seen as too strict, or she didn’t know how to deal with children herself, and usually just let Elyse do what she liked. It wasn’t as if Elyse was going to wear her Easter dress again… It was for Easter, after all, and she had plenty of other fancy, less gaudy, dresses to wear, so afterwards it would have languished in her wardrobe until she no longer fit in it, or simply needed the space in her closet, and her nanny donated it to some charity.

Jill, on the other hand, had grown up far poorer, her parents generally using Easter as an excuse to get her something nice she could wear for the rest of the year, or beyond if she didn’t outgrow it. Elyse understood that, on a conceptual level… At that point, though, it was really just a dress, so calling it specifically an Easter dress didn’t make sense.

If this dress was ruined, as she suspected, it would be annoying, but not the end of the world. As much as her mother talked about wanting her to stand on her own two feet, make her own way, if Elyse sniffled and batted her eyes enough, she knew her mom would buy her another one, or give her back the money she’d paid for it. She probably could have done the same even if she hadn’t spilled anything, and her mother never would have bothered to check, or known one way or the other if it was true.

The only real problem, of course, was that she couldn’t go out with her dress like this. “Do I have time to go home and change?” she asked, peering at the clock uncertainly.

“No way,” Jill told her. “Not if we want to get there in time.”

It shouldn’t have been that big of a deal, really… It was silly anyway, just a half-baked idea Jill had come up with. Even so, Elyse had to admit she was pretty into it now. “Obviously we do,” she rolled her eyes. “If we’re late, they’ll have already started, and there won’t be as many eggs to find!”

“Well, we don’t have time to put that in the washer, either,” Jill mused.

“Please,” Elyse scoffed. “It’s dry-clean only.”

“I could see what I have that might fit you,” Jill suggested. That seemed to be the only option, but it was also a long shot, given how much bigger than Elyse she was. Most anything she had would swallow the petite young woman… With no other choice, however, Elyse followed her to her bedroom, standing behind her as she opened up her closet and began to rifle through it, pushing aside anything with a long skirt that would definitely trip Elyse up, or a low-cut top that would droop too much on her flatter chest…

“Oh, look at this!” Jill squealed, as Elyse was starting to lose hope. “I think this is the perfect size!”

Elyse’s eyes widened as she watched Jill pull the dress out, her cheeks turning as pink as the garment itself. “What is that?!” she wrinkled her nose in disgust, shocked that Jill would have such a thing. It looked like something meant for a four year old, covered in frills and lace and ribbons. It even came with its own apron and, worse yet, bonnet.

“I forgot I’d kept this!” Jill said. “It’s one of my old Easter dresses!”

That did make a little more sense… At least, in that case, Jill probably hadn’t picked it out herself. “How old were you when you got this?” Elyse asked, the size of it seeming far too big for the incredibly immature sizing… Or did she think that because she didn’t want to believe she was that much smaller than Jill, that she was the same size she’d been when this would have been an appropriate clothing choice for her?

“Mom liked me in the cutesy stuff,” Jill shrugged, shoving it towards Elyse, who backed away. “Come on… This is the only thing I have that’s going to work.”

“B-But…” Elyse pouted, peeking back into the closet. There were other clothes in there that would fit her, of course… Nothing that was appropriate for an Easter egg hunt, however. “Fine,” she sighed, giving in, snatching it out of her friend’s hand and taking it to the bathroom in a huff to change.

The Exchange Student – Chapter 24

“O-Okay,” Anna said faintly, hardly able to hear the words herself, to believe what she was about to do as she unzipped the new, see-through backpack, setting it down on the kitchen counter beside her old backpack. Whether it truly was a rule or not, she could see it being one, for the sake of safety. Maybe she’d get lucky, spot the nurse’s office on her way to the classroom…

Then again, if she remembered correctly – and it had been a long time ago, and in another country – when she’d gone to kindergarten, the classroom had been at the very front of the building so the kids wouldn’t have to wander through the whole place to get to them, and there tended to be teachers or assistants posted there to usher the students right inside. Maybe she’d be able to slip past… Maybe they wouldn’t know immediately what class she was destined for, and she could explore for a minute… The diapers clearly visible inside her backpack, however, would likely tip people off, and the less ‘big’ kids from higher grades she had to shuffle past like that, the better.

She could hear Kiki giggling away behind her as she watched, knew that there would be no avoiding the inevitable, but she saved the diapers for last, transferring everything else first, praying that Sara, at least, would get distracted and stop paying attention by then. It wouldn’t matter much afterwards, unless Sara left immediately, without looking in her direction… It was unlikely, yet theoretically possible.

Up until the moment she heard another giggle, anyway, felt somebody step in beside her, bumping against her side. “Oh, my God,” Sara snickered. “Are those…?!” And, before Anna could answer – not that she would have, to be fair – her replacement reached past her, grabbing one of the diapers, tugging it out of the bag. “Oh, my God!” she squealed again, practically bouncing in excitement. “This isn’t just a diaper, this is a Pamper! Are you wearing these?!”

Anna shrank back, mortified as Sara bent down to look at her eye to eye, fortunately not trying to lift her skirt, to check… Anna had a feeling that was only because she didn’t have to, because she could tell the answer already, without having to see it for herself. “I’m really going to have to recalibrate how I take your classes,” Sara teased. “I was going to try a little, but I have a feeling that would look suspicious… I can’t imagine someone who still has to wear Pampers at your age does well at school.”

“I-I do!” Anna insisted.

Sara raised an eyebrow, patted Anna on the head. “Sure you do,” she replied, obviously humoring her, not believing it. “Do you put as much effort into your schoolwork as you do into your potty training?”

“I-I have a condition,” Anna blushed, staring down at the floor. “I-It’s not my fault…” Under such close scrutiny, it was difficult to pull off that lie… Thankfully, she had practice now, and at least some of the awkwardness could be attributed to all this bullying.

“Whatever you say,” Sara sniffed, standing back up. “This is going to be even more fun that I thought,” she told Kiki. “I always thought high school would have been more fun if I could goof off the entire time.”

Anna whimpered, too overwhelmed to say anything, to beg her not to ruin her GPA. She had a little control, since she’d be doing the homework, but there was only so much she could do, and Sara could just decide to not turn any of it in, if she wanted. This had all been a fun fantasy until now; now, she was seeing the potential ripples, wondering if one bad semester was going to be enough to keep her from being able to get into the college she wanted, if her desire to wear diapers may have derailed all her plans for the future…

“Hey!” Karissa snapped, taking all of them – not least of all, Anna – by surprise. “If she flunks out of school, she’ll get sent back home, and then your fun will be over.”

Once again, Karissa had come to the rescue. Anna gave her a quick, grateful look, wishing she’d been clever enough to think of that. She wasn’t sure that was true, really… She’d had to have a certain GPA to join the program, but she didn’t think they’d make her leave mid-semester if she was doing badly. If her Mom and Doug found out, though, they might try to make her come back, assuming something was wrong. She didn’t know that it wasn’t true either, however.

“Hmm,” Sara eyed Anna, who squirmed beneath her gaze. “I suppose,” she shrugged noncommittally.

Kiki rolled her eyes. “Whatever,” she said, clearly not able to tell whether it was a bluff or not either. “Come on, let’s get going. I’m not going to let you make me late.”

Anna let out a tiny gasp as Kiki grabbed her by the hand, giving her a yank, making her stumble towards her before she could stop herself. “H-Hey!” she looked up at Karissa in a panic.

“I’m going to take her,” Karissa announced. “That way you won’t have to worry about it.”

“No, I don’t think so,” Kiki countered, giving Anna another tug, pulling her closer to her side. “I want her to tell all her new little friends about what a great babysitter I am, so they’re going to need to see me dropping her off.”

Anna shot Karissa a frantic look, but she knew there wasn’t much she could do, didn’t want to make her feel guilty, so she took a deep breath, mustering up all of her courage. “I-It’s okay,” she told Karissa. “I-I’ll be okay.”

“Good girl!” Kiki praised her, leading Anna outside to her car, opening up the back door, where a booster seat was installed and waiting.

Anna’s cheeks warmed as she saw it, unable to keep herself from wiggling, both embarrassed and excited as she asked, “I-Is that for me?”, not certain what she wanted the answer to be.

“Of course it is, silly,” Kiki smirked, taking Anna’s backpack off and setting it on the seat beside the booster. “I can’t drive the car from back here!”

She lifted Anna up easily, plopping her down on the waiting booster, then pausing. “What did I see there?” she teased, lifting Anna’s skirt before the smaller girl could react, or stop her, Karissa nowhere near her to defend her now. “Now, that’s cheating,” Kiki chastised. “Let’s get those off of you!”

“No!” Anna pouted, but it didn’t matter, Kiki sliding the shorts down her legs, tossing them into the floorboards of the car before buckling Anna in.

“That’s better,” Kiki declared, closing the door, walking around to the other side of the car to get in herself. Anna groaned, trying in vain to bend down far enough to pick the shorts back up, kicking her feet, neither her arms or legs long enough to get the job done.

Kiki giggled to herself as she adjusted her seat, peering into the rear-view mirror and seeing Anna’s sour expression. “Oh, don’t get grumpy with me, little miss,” she said. “You’ll just have to be careful when you’re out on the playground! You’re a big enough girl for that, aren’t you?”

Anna gulped, giving up on her shorts, hands sliding upwards to tug at her skirt instead. “I-I’d feel better if…” she protested.

The engine roared to life, Kiki’s signal that she didn’t care, wasn’t paying attention. “Now, like I said,” Kiki told her as she checked her mirrors, backing up out of the driveway, “you have a very important job while you’re at school. You’re going to tell everyone how much you love your babysitter, and how much fun I am, and how they should tell their parents to hire me.”

“And what if I don’t?” Anna crossed her arms defiantly.

“I’m going to be dropping you off every morning,” Kiki informed her. “I’d be more than happy to pick you out some new outfits to wear to school.”

Anna squirmed in her seat, the threat unspoken, yet clear. It wouldn’t make a difference how careful Karissa was at choosing clothes for her that would hide her diaper as much as possible if Kiki was the one to take Anna to school, if she decided to switch her into other clothes.

“And don’t think I’m going to take your word for it,” Kiki warned. “I know there are at least a couple kids in your class already that I look after, and I’m sure they’d be happy to let me know if they heard someone bad-mouthing me at school. And if I hear that, I might just have to tell them that the only reason you don’t like me is because I follow your Mommy’s orders to keep you in diapers since you can’t keep your pants dry, no matter how much you think you’re a big girl. Or maybe I could bring some suppositories along one morning to slip into your bottom before I buckle you into your booster. I bet they’d hit right about the time we got to your school. I wonder if you’d have time to get all the way to the bathroom before you had an accident?”

Her experience with suppositories was quite limited; from the one time she’d had them used on her, however, she suspected the answer was no, that she’d barely make it through the school’s doors before her body gave in, filled the seat of her Pampers, leaving her feeling so tiny, so helpless, for the rest of the day, whether she got changed immediately or not. And if anyone from her class saw her?! She might die of humiliation on the spot.

She couldn’t risk that… Kiki had her exactly where she wanted her, and there was nothing she could do about it. From the smug look on the other girl’s face, which she caught a glimpse of in the mirror, she could see that Kiki knew it, too. “Do you understand, Anna?” she demanded.

Anna didn’t see any choice, any way around it. “I get it,” she grumbled. “I’ll lie and tell everyone how great you are.”

“That almost hurts my feelings,” Kiki said haughtily. “Keep that up, and I might have to assume you’re in a bad mood because you need some of those suppositories now. That would make for quite the first impression, wouldn’t it?”

Anna blushed, wiggling down in her seat like she was trying to hide from Kiki’s eyes, glaring back at her from the mirror, knowing that there was no real escape… And that, really, she wasn’t sure she’d want one. This was definitely going further than she ever would have dared, but it wasn’t that far off from her fantasies…

It was a relief, seeing the school come into view, even if the sight brought with it a whole new wave of anxieties, particularly when Kiki skipped the drop-off line, pulling into a parking space instead. “I-I can walk myself in,” Anna offered. “I-I don’t want you to be late…”

“How sweet of you to think of me,” Kiki scoffed. “But I want to talk to your teacher and explain everything to her.”

“Y-You don’t have to…” Anna gulped, before getting distracted, looking out the window as Kiki got out, walked around to her door, seeing other students being led inside carrying normal, non-transparent, backpacks. Maybe Kiki had been mistaken, gotten schools mixed up, or maybe those students would get in trouble once they got inside… Or, maybe, Kiki had been lying after all.

Kiki opened up the door, unbuckling her from her booster seat and setting her on the ground, holding out her backpack, making her put it on rather than just handing it to her, which might have allowed her to hug it to her chest, possibly make an effort to hide the contents a bit. Then, Kiki turned back for a moment to adjust the booster.

Anna’s heart began to pound, sensing the opportunity. She had a chance to make a break for it, rush into the school on her own. Would Kiki bother to follow her, if she did? Or, if she saw that she was at least going in the right direction, not attempting to run away, would she be satisfied with that, let go of the idea of telling the teacher whatever it was she’d had in mind?

And, if she did go on her own, if she managed to keep from being caught, where should she go? She hadn’t been told which classroom she’d be in, but surely there would be someone around to help out new students… Or, she could attempt to circumvent them, go straight for the nurse’s office so she could drop off her diapers. She could even, technically, head to the bathroom, dispose of her diapers that way… She obviously didn’t have anything else to change into, however, and, while the nurse likely had some diapers of her own on hand, in case of an accident, it was probably going to be obvious that they weren’t the same ones she’d been sent to school in.

She only had a split second to decide. What was she going to do?!

Should Anna…

…Stay and let Kiki take her to her classroom?

…Go in by herself and try to find her class?

…Go in by herself and look for the nurse’s office?

…Or go in by herself and find a bathroom to get rid of her extra diapers before anyone can see them?

The Exchange Student – Chapter 23

Anna took a deep breath, nibbling on her bottom lip. She wasn’t sure if this was a good idea or not… She did feel particularly little right now, standing there in her dirty diaper in front of Karissa, and she did enjoy that… If she committed to this, however, told this lie, it would be very difficult to take back. She’d have to do this in her pants every time from now on, for the rest of her time here. Maybe she’d get tired of the novelty of it, or would be in a situation where that was extra embarrassing, and she didn’t want to, yet she’d have to in order to maintain the deception.

She’d probably have to tell Mrs. Florez, too, it dawned on her. Even if Karissa didn’t do it for her, it would be far too hard to try to juggle Mrs. Florez believing she could make it to the potty, and Karissa thinking it was impossible. Both of them were going to have to know that she was just silly, diaper-filling baby.

“I-I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before,” she sniffed, squirming in place, staring down at the other girl’s feet. “I-I actually have to use my diapers for everything. I-I just… I-I thought if I really worked on it while I was here, I could make it to the potty on time, b-but I guess Mommy was right, and there’s no use trying…”

“Oh, sweetie,” Karissa stepped over to her, pulling her into a hug, Anna melting slightly as she felt her roommate’s hand slide down her back, stopping at the seat of her lumpy diaper, patting it gently, instinctively. Anna wasn’t even certain Karissa realized she was doing it, or if it was an automatic reaction, but every bit of contact, every squish, sent her further and further back into time, leaving her feeling like barely more than a toddler.

“I wish you would have told me that before,” Karissa said after a minute or two. “I can see how you would have been too embarrassed, though, so I understand.”

“Y-Yeah,” Anna nodded. “S-Sorry….”

“No, you don’t have to apologize,” Karissa chuckled. “I suppose there’s no real point in asking you if you’re finished, since I’m sure you can’t tell, can you?”

Anna gulped, shook her head, knowing that would probably be true. “That’s okay,” Karissa assured her. “Why don’t you just sit down and play with your teddy for a few minutes, then we’ll get you cleaned up?”

Sit down… Anna’s knees went a little weak, remembering the sensation of waking up in her messy diaper, sitting up in bed, feeling the mush squelch under her bottom… She hadn’t even been sure she’d have the guts to try it again, afraid Karissa might realize she’d done so, ask her why she’d done that after pooping her pants. But now, she didn’t have to worry; Karissa had ordered her to do it, so she had no choice!

“O-Okay,” she agreed, toddling over towards her bed.

“No, no,” Karissa grabbed her by the wrist, stopping her short. “Not up there, Anna… We wouldn’t want you to make a mess on your bed, in case you have a blow-out. Just sit on the floor.”

“O-On the floor?” Anna squeaked, her heart pounding, toes unconsciously, bashfully, turning inward, towards one another.

“You’re right,” Karissa nodded, Anna thinking, for a moment, that she’d ruined it. “We wouldn’t want you messing up your shorts, either, would we? Hold on.”

Anna hadn’t said anything about that, but she was more than glad to stand still, let Karissa kneel down, slide her shorts down her legs, tugging them over her shoes so that she could keep those on, standing there in her shirt and dirty diaper, the Velcro sneakers making it appear as if this was a full outfit, as if she were so small that she didn’t need anything else.

The toddler vibes were almost overwhelming as she stood there, watching Karissa, wide-eyed, cuddling her teddy bear to her chest, sucking harder and harder on her thumb without meaning to, or really noticing. Karissa spread out her changing pad on the floor, giving it a pat, and Anna, obediently, plopped herself down on it.

It was difficult to determine if it was the harder surface beneath her, the floor being far more rigid than her mattress, or if it was the whole situation contributing, but the effect was definitely more pronounced than it had been last time, the squish eradicating the last of her big girl defenses, at least for a moment or two, leaving her babbling as she wiggled her bottom, giggling behind her thumb, playing mindlessly with her teddy as her bladder dribbled into her already full diaper, everything feeling so perfect, so natural, as if this was exactly where she belonged, how she ought to be behaving, and getting treated, for that matter.

Karissa watched her for a couple minutes, smiling gently, then announced, “All right, I think that’s enough.”

“Change?” Anna blinked up at her, doing her best not to sound disappointed.

Karissa shook her head, sitting down in her chair. “No, not yet,” she said. “Why don’t you come over here? We need to have a little talk first.”

Anna furrowed her brow, confused, but pushed herself up, waddling across the room, squealing in surprise as Karissa grabbed her, pulling her up, setting her down on her lap, bouncing her softly.

“Now, Anna,” Karissa told her, sounding very much like she was about to launch into a lecture, “I was going to offer to help potty train you while you were here. I helped Aidan with that, and I’ve done it for plenty of the other kids I babysat.”

Anna blushed, mind still fuzzy, struggling to shift it back into something resembling ordinary operations, so she could converse with Karissa like equals, if needed… Or, at least, somewhat close to equals. As close as she could convince herself she deserved to be, all things considered. The bouncing made it hard, as did the mere fact of how comfortable it felt, snuggling in Karissa’s lap. She probably ought to put up a token protest at potentially being lumped in with Karissa’s other babysitting charges, but she couldn’t quite bring herself to do it.

“I’ve done it enough, in fact,” Karissa continued, “that I know it’s pointless to try if the kid isn’t ready for it yet.”

Anna gulped; there was no doubt that was directed at her, no misinterpreting that as a general statement. It didn’t sound mean, though it was definitely pointed.

“I’d be more than happy to give you a hand,” Karissa said, “but I don’t think you want that.”

“Wh-What?” Anna finally managed to speak, her voice sounding a little higher, squeakier, than usual. “I-I…”

“Anna,” Karissa shook her head. “I pointed out more than once that I thought you needed to go to the potty, and gave you plenty of opportunity to make it. But you didn’t even try, did you?”

“I-I did!” Anna lied. “B-But by the time I…”

“If you were that concerned about it, you would have gone as soon as I suggested it,” Karissa cut her off. “Your shorts were still perfectly fastened, it didn’t look like your tapes had been touched… As if you didn’t want to try to get to the potty at all. As if all you wanted to do was come here and poop your Pampers in peace.”

A shiver ran down Anna’s spine as she felt as if she’d just been seen right through, read like a book. “I-I don’t know…” she whimpered quietly, her confidence about actually getting anyone to believe what she said crumbling.

“Maybe I’m wrong,” Karissa shrugged. “I owe you one, so I’m not going to make you tell me, and I won’t say anything about this to Mom… I’ll even help you with your potty training, if you want me to. But you have to ask me, young lady, and promise me you’re actually going to try, and that you aren’t just wasting my time.”

Anna blushed, fidgeted, unsure what to do, if it would be too suspicious to not take her up on it, not to want to try to get out of diapers at her age. Thankfully, Karissa spoke again before she was able to decide. “You don’t have to do it now. We wouldn’t make any progress tonight, anyway, so you might as well take some time to think about it.”

With that, Karissa stood up, carrying Anna back over to the changing pad, letting her wallow in the awkward silence as she was cleaned up, changed into a fresh diaper and, to her surprise, her PJs. “B-But we just finished dinner,” she complained.

“Yes, and you had a big day today… And there’s another one coming up tomorrow. I think going to bed early is a good idea,” Karissa declared.

“I-I just got up from a nap!” Anna whined.

“And now you’re going back to bed,” Karissa shrugged. “If you keep making a fuss about it, maybe this will have to be your new bedtime from now on. I bet most of your new classmates will be going to be around this time.”

Anna gulped, nodded. It felt like something had shifted, like her tower of lies had finally began to tumble down around her… Whether or not that was a good thing remained to be seen. In all honesty, no matter how much she pouted, there definitely was a part of her that was glad about being put to bed this early, keeping her from having to face the rest of the family after what had happened here.

It also did wonders for getting her in the right headspace for the next morning, waking up to find Karissa had already laid out clothes for her, a yellow t-shirt, a pair of pale pink denim skirtalls, and a pair of small, pink shorts to go beneath those to help hide her diaper. Without hesitation, Karissa changed her into a dry diaper, dressed her up, braided her hair, handed her her backpack, already packed, crinkling slightly as Anna slung it over her shoulder.

Karissa’s parents had, luckily, headed off to work already, taking Aidan with them to drop off at his school so she didn’t have to face them dressed this way, definitely not looking like a high school senior. Mrs. Florez had left her a note, wishing her good luck, though, that she read over while scarfing down a quick breakfast before the doorbell rang.

“It’s okay,” Karissa promised when Anna looked over at her in surprise. “I’ll get it.”

She came back to the kitchen a few moments later with Kiki trailing behind her, holding a gift bag, along with a girl Anna didn’t know. She was dressed pretty simply, in a pair of tight jeans and a striped shirt, but she managed to look stunning nevertheless, so pretty, so mature, especially in comparison to Anna, who was suddenly very interested in examining the toes of her Velcro sneakers.

“So, I’m replacing her?” the girl looked Karissa up and down.

Kiki giggled. “No, no… You’re replacing her.” She pointed down to Anna, cowering as all the attention turned to her.

“Wait, seriously?!” the girl – Sara, it seemed, if she was the one taking Anna’s place – laughed, bending down. “Her?! No way! She can’t be a high schooler!”

“She’s not,” Kiki confirmed, pinching Anna’s cheek. “You’re a kindergartner from now on, aren’t you, cutie? Why don’t you show Sara exactly why you need her to step in and take your place as a big girl?” Anna tried to shuffle away, to bat Kiki’s hands off of her as the girl reached for her skirt.

“Come on,” Karissa interrupted. “You’re getting what you wanted… You don’t have to tease her.”

“But it’s so fun,” Kiki smirked. “Fine… She’s going to find out anyway. Do you have everything I asked for?”

Anna frowned uncertainly, but Karissa answered, reaching into her own bag. “Yeah, this is all the paperwork and everything you should need.” Anna’s eyes widened, recognizing it now as Karissa handed it over. She must have found it when she was packing her backpack. Kiki probably would have gotten it out of them either way, though that didn’t make her feel any better now, seeing it being grabbed by Sara, knowing that her identity, her grades for this semester, were now in this stranger’s hands.

“Perfect,” Kiki purred. “Now, then, I have a little present for you, Anna.” She gave Anna the gift bag, Anna taking it reluctantly, pawing through the tissue paper, pulling out a plastic backpack, the zippers and shoulder straps bright pink. “The kindergarten requires its students to have see-through backpacks,” Kiki grinned. “I had a feeling Karissa wouldn’t know that, even though I’d think any good babysitter would be aware of all of those sorts of rules… So I went ahead and got you one. Now go on… Why don’t you empty out that other backpack and put everything into your new one?”

Anna gasped, stomach churning at the idea of having to pull out her spare diapers and changing supplies in front of Kiki and Sara, to transfer them into this plastic backpack, where everyone would be able to see them as she went to class… Those shorts under her skirt wouldn’t matter at all if everybody simply spotted her Pampers in her bag.

“I-Is that true?!” Anna squeaked, looking up at Karissa in a panic, Karissa appearing almost as bewildered as her.

“You can believe me or not,” Kiki shrugged. “If you want to be sent straight to the principal’s office so they can search your bag, be my guest.”

It was hard to say if it would be better or worse, running the risk of having that encounter, one on one. She assumed she’d have to go to the school nurse, hand her diapers over to her and explain her ‘problem,’ so the principal would likely find out from her, but that wasn’t the same as being sent there straight away, very possibly before she could make it to the nurse, standing there awkwardly as her Pampers were pulled out, looked over…

Or was Kiki lying to her, trying to humiliate her further? She could see the girl doing that, didn’t know her well enough to try to read her, to deduce her intentions. Was it worth the risk, potentially getting in trouble as soon as she got to school?

She wasn’t sure… But she was going to have to decide, one way or the other, or else she’d be late, too, which would only make things worse either way. She swallowed, looking down at the clear backpack nervously.

Should Anna take…

…Her regular backpack?

…Or the plastic backpack?

I’d like to thank everyone for all of their support lately, which has been very much appreciated! Since I realized I hadn’t posted an update here, I wanted to go ahead and let you all know that I have been feeling much better lately, thankfully, so thanks to everyone for the thoughts and concern as well!

On the more business side of things, I also wanted to go ahead and announce that, mostly as a backup in case anything happens with SubscribeStar, to hopefully lessen the stress somewhat if that happens, and also as a potential alternative to people who have had issues with SubscribeStar, I’m also working on launching a page on Ream. It’s another subscription site, geared specifically towards stories, so there are some nice features for reading on there, but since it is focused on that, it doesn’t allow for things like polls (Edit: Actually, it looks like they do have polls, but they’re totally separate from the stories, so I’m not sure how convenient they’d be, but I may try them out), and is limiting in some other ways, including how low the subscription price can be set on my end, which is why it’s set to have only one tier, which is $5, but that will get you access to everything.

Please note that there is no reason to subscribe on there if you’re already on SubscribeStar! It will be the same content, just on a different site. My hope is to have everything up on both at the same time, but the scheduling system on there is a bit wonky, which is part of why I haven’t set it up until now, so things might get somewhat out of sync, but in the end, there isn’t anything exclusive on there, so there’s no need to subscribe in both places! I believe that I now have everything that is on SubscribeStar also on there, and in your Welcome message, you should receive links to the archives containing all my former Patreon-exclusive content.

I hope you’re all having a great March! Thank you all again for sticking around and reading!
